- Start recording with Record class on Today or the class page while the class is meeting — or Record in Teach mode or on an unlocked board.
- Choose Stop recording when you're done; it saves to the class.
- Find it later under Recordings in the sidebar (search all your class recordings), or on the class's Resources → Board & recordings.
- Answer Requests to listen with Approve or Reject.

What families see
A student who was absent sees the recording on their class and can listen straight away. A student who was there can choose Ask to listen; once the teacher approves, it's theirs to play.
Schools with Ask Triv can also turn a recording into class notes — a summary and transcript families can read.
