Ask Triv is an add-on module. Once it's on (Settings → Subscription & billing → Your modules), set it up under Settings → AI assistant.
- Open Settings → AI assistant. Monthly usage shows how much of this month's allowance is used and who's using it.
- Turn on Family access to let parents and students ask about their own records (daily limits: parents 25 questions, students 15).
- Turn on Daily digest to show staff a Today at a glance summary, and Email the digest to send it to teachers, admins and the headmaster.
- Under Safeguarding contacts, choose who is alerted if a student says something that suggests they may be unsafe. If you pick nobody, every headmaster and admin is alerted.
- Choose Save assistant settings.

The knowledge base
Settings → Knowledge base holds the handbook and policy documents Ask Triv searches, so it can answer "What's the dress code?" or "When is tuition due?" from your own words. Choose Add document, give it a Title, and paste the Content or load a .txt, .md or .pdf file. Parents, students and staff all search the same documents.
