- Open the class, go to the Gradebook tab, and choose Add work.
- On the row, change For from Whole class to Specific students, and tick the students who missed the original.
- Choose the original under Makeup for.
- Tick Excuse the original for these students if the makeup should replace it — otherwise both count.
- Choose Create N items, then grade the makeup as usual.
